Artificial intelligence predicts which will be the winning number of the “Gordo” after analysing the previous 210 years.
Christmas is getting closer and closer, which for the Spanish means that the Extraordinary Christmas Lottery Draw is also approaching. Year after year Spain prepares to listen to the children of San Ildefonso singing the winning numbers in the big millionaire draw and, although as a pure essence of the draws the winners are discovered on the day of the draw and live, this year has been an “exception” thanks to artificial intelligence.
This year, artificial intelligence has become an important part of our lives in many ways and the Christmas lottery draw was no exception. After asking ChatGPT, the artificial intelligence has thrown its predictions of what will be the winning number on 22 December. To do so, the AI tool has analysed the 210 Christmas draws that have been held from 1812 to 2022, including the two that took place in 1938 during the Civil War. This is how, through its statistical method, it has come up with the possible winning number based on probabilities.
Although it is known that a lottery draw is completely random and the odds of a number being drawn are the same for everyone, many people have not wanted to leave their fate too much to chance, buying the number that the Chatbot had thrown up to the point of running out.
The “Gordo” winning numbers
Based on each year’s winning numbers, ChatGPT concluded that the winning number for this year’s Christmas Lottery would be 03695. Among some of its calculations, it found that the number 0 is the most repeated number in the first position with 64 occurrences in the tens of thousands category, while the number 9 has never come up in that position.
Undoubtedly, many people wanted to trust the prediction of artificial intelligence and have exhausted the number that was only found in “La Cordobesa”, the administration 26 of Elche, in a short time.
Likewise, the Chatbot also shared that other numbers that could also be winners was the 02695, although this would be awarded only in the case of a tie in the second position of the thousand units between 2 and 3.
